Classical

Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced

Develop strong piano technique and musical expression through classical repertoire from different musical periods.
Students build solid foundations in posture, hand position, reading, and interpretation while learning to play with confidence and sensitivity.

THEORY

Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced

A solid foundation in music theory is essential for developing a strong and well-rounded musical education.
Dedicated theory lessons allow students to gain a deeper understanding of music beyond what can be achieved during piano lesson time alone.

Tuition & Lesson Length

Lessons are offered weekly during the academic year, with options to suit each student’s age and experience level.

• 30-minute lesson – $35
Recommended for younger children beginning their piano journey.

• 45-minute lesson – $45
Ideal for students who are ready to develop skills at a steady pace.

• 60-minute lesson – $50
Best suited for advancing students who benefit from extended instruction and deeper musical study.

Teaching Methods

I use a variety of proven, well-respected piano methods, carefully chosen to match each student’s age, level, and learning style. Lessons combine strong technical foundations, musical understanding, and creativity to ensure steady progress and enjoyment.

Young Beginners

For younger students, lessons focus on building strong fundamentals in a fun, engaging way. I incorporate:

Structured beginner piano methods
Technical warm-ups to develop hand strength and coordination
Early music theory introduced in a simple, age-appropriate format
Interactive tools, including iPad-based learning apps, to keep lessons exciting and motivating

Intermediate & Advanced Students

As students progress, lessons become more focused on musical growth and performance. Instruction includes:

Progressive technical exercises, including scales, chords, and arpeggios
Repertoire from a wide range of musical periods and styles
Sight-reading, ear training, and music theory
Preparation for Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) examinations, when appropriate
